Nunney Parish Council

Notice of Vacancy on The Parish Council

Our village of Nunney lies in the beautiful Somerset countryside around two miles southwest of our nearest town, Frome.

As a Parish Council, we spend a lot of time looking into and planning for the future, to make our village a more pleasant and sustainable place to live in. We have developed this new website and are broadening our ways of sharing information with our parish, in particular developing our use of social media platforms whilst also retaining the traditional forms of communication via newsletters and of course face to face contact!

Parish Council meetings usually take place on the first Monday of every month in the Dallimore Mead Hall at 19.30. Notices and agendas for meetings are posted on village notice boards as well as on this site. Parishioners are always welcome to attend as observers.

Copies of the minutes of council meetings are available on the notice board, on our Facebook site and on this website.

Annual Meeting of the Parish Council (AGM) takes place annually, usually in May, at which the council presents its annual reports and accounts. This year, the Annual Meeting will be a week later than usual and will be on Monday 13 May 2019, due to the elections on 2 May 2019.
